Lidiya I. Bayliyeva

Lidiya Bayliyeva is a family lawyer known for her problem-solving skills and compassion. She strives to resolve the cases outside of court but is not afraid to invoke the court process when necessary to protect the client’s interests. She works tirelessly to protect her clients’ financial future and to set parents up for successful co-parenting.

Lidiya was born in Turkmenistan and moved to the United States at the age of 13. At that early age, Lidiya knew she wanted to be a lawyer. Before law school, Lidiya interned for the Honorable James O. Browning, District Judge for the District of New Mexico. This experience enabled her to view a judicial system from the perspective of a judge. During the law school, Lidiya was a member of the UNM School of Law’s Thurgood Marshall Regional Moot Court Team, allowing her to strengthen her oral and writing skills in turn making her a stronger advocate for her clients. Upon graduation, Lidiya was honored by the UNM School of Law faculty with the Faculty Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Law School Community.

Outside of work, Lidiya enjoys hot yoga, travelling, and spending time with her dog Mozart. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Women’s Bar Association and serves as a Compliance Officer.
